Liz Hurley and entrepreneur Arun Nayar are spending money lavishly to prove their class. It is sardonic to see the way this couple is making preparations for their special day. There is a long extravagant list of activities regarding the twin-nuptial. Okay! I’ll discuss it as follows:

• The wedding is not a day’s show rather it will be extended over a week and not in one continent but overseas (England and India). Guests will be swimming in the pool of champagne for four days in England and then three days India. Can you think how much all this will cost them... around £2 million!

• Liz sure is also looking to negotiate with a magazine for full access to her wedding.

• Let’s talk about the places where the wedding is to be held. They are among the luxurious hotels. In England it is Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire and in India it is Umaid Bhawan Palace, the 347-room home of Jodhpur’s ruling family.

• Hey! How can you miss another long list, which includes dozens of dresses (£4,000 pink silk sari from Indian couturier Tarun Tahiliani, prices of other outfits is not known) and jewelry and will be provided by Chopard. The outfits will be in renowned brands and designers’ stuffs.

• On the wedding loads of celebrities and iconic personalities are gathered to be part of the extravagant show.

• When Miss Hurley is doing so much lets see what all is going on Mr. Nayar’s part. He will be arriving on white horse, lined by family members on camels and elephants. Hmmm! giving a break to auto show.

• Guests will apparently dine on Indian, Mexican, Italian and Continental foods from three Michelin-starred chefs flown over from Britain.

• The couple will stay at the private quarters of the maharajah, His Highness Gaj Singh while the guest will sleep in luxurious rooms of hotel, which charges around £2,000 per night.

It was a very sad site to me that on one side, the couple is wasting a huge amount on their wedding and on other side there are so many homeless and dying people in Jakarta, after flood damaged their lifestyle.

Another surprise is that the staff of Umaid Bhawan Palace doesn’t even know who they are, when they were asked about the reason behind frantic preparations in the palace, the reply come:

“None of us are being told much but we have heard a famous Hollywood actress is marrying an Indian businessman here,”
one said.

Imagine the two are spending so much but they are not heroes in everyone’s eyes. Then I think both should go registry office and get married. The ‘extravagant affair’ as explained by one of the friends, for me is mere ‘bragger.’

Can anyone tell me why they doing so and how many more such extravagant affairs are to come in future? Being eminent personalities, they should understand their responsibilities. If they have spent, so much next icon will try to spend higher then them in order to make their mark (in never ending rat race). I know wedding is everyone’s dream but such ....

My mind is still making a castle in the sky with Jim Hjelm bridal gowns. The collection is extremely beautiful, gorgeous, magnetic, charismatic... I think I should stop giving you the long list of adjectives to explain the collection of Jim Hjelm.

The gown beautifully and perfectly dresses you for your special day. The shown here is from Spring 2007 Collection. Gown is made in antique silk satin with side and styled with back pleats. The gown is designed in sleeveless draped “V” neckline crystal beaded bodice and straps.

Jim Hjelm’s collection is not a click away for you and will have to search their store that is nearest to you. Designer Pitera says, “I design for a woman who epitomizes fashionable elegance and has a definite sense of personal style, I like to play with the balance of the latest trends and classic styles to create timeless yet unique gowns.”

I am still in my dream world, dressed in this gown and searching for someone to join me into the ballroom.

Monday morning hundreds of gay couples received the same legal protections as married couples when law took effect to make New Jersey the third U.S. state to offer civil unions. Those gay couples who have unions or marriages from other states or nations that allowed them were automatically considered to be in civil unions in New Jersey.

Among them were Steven Goldstein, the chairperson of the gay political group Garden State Equality, and his partner Daniel Gross, who became the first gay couple featured on the wedding pages of The New York Times. The Teaneck couple had a wedding ceremony in Canada and a civil union ceremony in Vermont in 2002. After running here and there for the wedding finally at 12:01 a.m. Monday as soon as the New Jersey’s civil union law took effect, they exchanged vows during a ceremony attended by numerous friends, including many of the state’s most prominent gay activists. Registered same-sex couples in N.J. will enjoy the benefits of adoption and custody rights, as well as new allowances on hospital visits and medical rights, all these benefits are a step below the full marriage rights permitted in Massachusetts. New Jersey joins Vermont and Connecticut in offering civil unions to same-sex couples.

Who all recognizes same-sex relationships?

Forty-five states have legal or constitutional bans on same-sex marriages. Only Massachusetts allows gay couples to marry, while California offers domestic partnerships. Tasmania allows same-sex couples to register themselves and allow only registered partners to adopt, or be presumed to be the parents of, children born to their partners from fertility treatments. Sydney allows same-sex couple to register and does not confer rights but may constitute evidence of a relationship in legal proceedings. Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, South Africa, Spain and Massachusetts (US) allowed same-sex couples in jurisdictions. Same-sex civil unions or partnerships are recognized in jurisdictions including Britain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland, New Zealand, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Portugal, Vermont (US) and Connecticut (US).

Reason behind the objection of Homosexual Wedding

• One strong reason behind the conflict of the same-sex coupling is the detrimental effect on children.
• Same-sex partners experience a higher incidence of health problems resulting in shorter life spans
• The duration of same-sex marriages is shorter than that of opposite-sex relationships: on average, the former last only two to three years.

For the opponents these nuptials are degrading the institution of marriage while its supporters call it a tribute to marriage’s importance.

Commitment and a ring go side by side. Ring is the first gift or thing that comes to your mind to buy for your beloved when you plan to propose or get married.

On the Binary rings, there are 5 parallel tracks running around the ring, each track representing a digit in the binary lexicon. The track is engraved for 1 and left blank for 0. In this way, the five lines of engraving which progress around the ring spell out, in combination, your personalized message. Whew! Got it?
The message on the ring above reads ‘A Marriage of Values’. Your message may contain up to 20 characters. Cast in either recycled gold or recycled platinum.

The rings will be a perfect gift for geek husband. These rings are hand crafted and designed by Gideon Weisz. Available in yellow gold ($950), white gold (shown) ($950) and platinum ($1750).

It’s not Anna Nicole Smith but longtime girlfriend Beth Ostrosky (34) to whom Howard Stern (53), an American radio and TV personality, will spend his rest of his life. On Valentine’s Day Stern shut-up everyone’s mouth when he disclosed his romantic proposal to Beth Ostrosky to marry him, on Sirius Satellite Radio show. Stern and Ostrosky met in 2001, a year after Stern separated from his wife of 20 years, Alison.

Knowing proposing will be the best way to do so Stern cracked a question to model-actress Ostrosky, “Do you want your Valentine’s Day gift now?” Then took out a 5.2-carat Richie Winick diamond ring and whispered in ear those beautiful words: “I love you. You’re everything to me. This is so gay...I’m asking you to spend the rest of your life with me.”

When Ostrosky, a Pittsburgh native who ranked as high as 34 on FHM magazine’s list of 100 Sexiest Women, gave an affirmative response then he phoned her father for his consent.

The wedding date is not yet fixed but Stern look forward to a long engagement. The couple share an apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and share custody of Stern’s three daughters from his first marriage.

Here are some awesome ring bands for your wedding. Beautiful machines driving all around us inspire the designs of these bands. You can have three types of rings in car tire, mountain bike tire and motorcycle tire design. The treads themselves are designed to be representations of style types but not specific brands or models

The rings can be matched with your would-be’s ring as it comes in pairs.

I have discussed earlier the changing trends for wedding day. Today, I am again back with some changes, in wedding etiquette. There are many wedding etiquettes, which are twisted in today’s world:

Old etiquette: Bride’s family pays for wedding.

New etiquette:
Bride’s family pays for only twenty-seven percent of weddings. Now, wedding expenditure is intelligently divided among the couple or their family.

Old etiquette: More than six bridesmaids and groomsmen are compulsory.

New etiquette: There is no maximum or minimum, just on or two attendants on each side are acceptable.

Old etiquette: Bridal bouquet must be in white.

New etiquette:
Bouquet can be in vivacious wildflowers, lavender roses that match bridesmaid dresses or it can be in groom’s favorite flowers.

Old etiquette: Groom’s mother selects her dress after the mother of the bride.

New etiquette: Mother of the groom selects a dress that suits her best and in which she is most comfortable.

I think these traditional changes are the requirement of the time. Moreover, it is good for bride- and groom-to-be, and their family. Some according to their requirement twist these traditions.
