Walt Disney Co. is introducing a new line of character-inspired bridal gowns targeted at women who want to look and feel like Cinderella on their wedding day.

The 34 princess styled gowns designed by designer Kirstie Kelly are inspired by famous princesses from Disney films like ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’. The gowns are the latest effort by Disney to make it to the business of higher-end nuptials.

Disney had clearly instructed Kelly to base the designs on those characters which are the most famous with brides who grew up with Disney. This is the latest addition to the Disney Princess line of products for girls, which had a cool $3.4 billion sale worldwide the last year.

Kelly’s gowns debuted on a New York catwalk on Sunday. The price of the gowns ranges from $1,500 to $3,000, which is below couture prices but above the average wedding dress price of $1,000. The range according to Disney officials is targeted at a generation of couples who are getting married older and paying for their own celebrations and can thus afford the prices very comfortably.

If the range becomes a hit, the wedding gown line could soon expand to include other Disney Princess-branded items and home furnishings for adults.

If Disney Bridal collection surprised you, you will be shocked by the sequel.

Hello Kitty has launched a bridal accessories collection with Tarina Tarantino. The favored jeweler of Cameron Diaz has created over fifty pink and pearl pieces, designed for weddings and starring a special cartoon of Hello Kitty where she’s decked in a wedding veil the color of lipgloss.

Do you think, making a kid’s cartoon character a bride justified? The idea doesn’t appeal much to me, however, you check out a few pieces.

This is something I’ve never seen and heard! Yes, I’m talking about this unique 26 meters ultra long wedding gown dress. On June 10, a bridal studio of Guiyang organized a wedding celebration in which the bride wore this startling and unique dress. The ceremony lasted for seven hours and the couple explored the city of Guiyang via a car ride assisted by 14 young men and women wearing small red caps behind the vehicle and supporting the 26 meters long wedding dress!

Will you ever wear 26 meters long wedding dress gown? Well, I’m planning to do so. This is something very different. I’m impressed, what about you?

What according to you is the best way to do away with the wedding ring after a nuptial dies? Throw it in water, put in some corners of your house, where you’ll never find it, give it back to your spouse or criminate it suitably.

I know all other tasks are understandable to you but the last option seems a bit confusing... right? Actually, Jill Testa, got this wonderful Wedding Ring Coffin idea from this story which is somewhat similar to her life;

Once upon a time, there lived a young woman who was lucky enough to meet a man who she believed was her prince. They fell in love, got married, had a child, and almost lived happily ever after. But after 20 years of kissing her prince, the woman realized he was actually a frog!

The 15X5 centimeter (six by two inch) solid wood coffin has a black velvet ring insert, a choice of six brass plaques inscribed with messages including ‘Bury the past and move on to a new tomorrow,’ ‘Rest in Peace,’ ‘R.I.P,’ ‘Gone and Forgotten,’ “I do... NOT!!” and “Six feet isn’t deep enough,” and costs $29.95.

There are people who do everything but do in style. When they marry their marriage is one event people look out for. Their style is grand and they carry it throughout life. But what can they do when their marriages end in divorces. They can’t do anything much, just pull off their rings and throw them in garbage.

Fast-forwarding few years, the bridal industry is seeing a marathon of changes. From the way a wedding planner strategically brainstorms the action-plan for the big day to the bride and grooms personal choice for the day, everything has gone through a sea change.

Introducing all to the stylized way of wedding, here are two things, which is very much in vogue today: -

Bridal Dress - The gown has always been white, however with more work infused in it, it’s getting a sexier and feminine feel. The call of the bride is more of bubble hem and mermaid hem, which is a craze these days; lot of metallic intricacies and lace work and speaking of silhouettes, it’s more of the celestial green look that is hot. The bridal gown now is all about comfort, so bid farewell to heavily beaded design and the talk is all about two gowns for the wedding ceremony and the reception.

Say I Do to iPods - The wedding music earlier was all about live performances by local bands, and then it was the peppy foot-tapping numbers by the DJ, and now to beat them all it’s a gadget that is slowly taking over the wedding music industry. Couples today have become more conscious on how and where they shell out money. Hiring a DJ would cost somewhere around $ 600 up t0 $ 1000, and if the same services can be availed at $ 149 to $ 350, that’s just amazing. And this is definitely adding to the woes of the DJ’s.

In all fairness, it’s best to do a detailed survey before finally freezing on how you want your wedding day to be like. So plan in advance and plan logically.

Indian marriages are highly lavish and colorful, especially full bridal outlook. I think the bridal dress plays a very important role to embellish a bride. Hindu brides dress is very different from that of a western brides’ wedding gown. When you will look at this Velvet Stone Bridal Lengha, you will easily make out the difference in Indian and Western bridal dress. This Lengha is in very heavy embroidery and stone work all over. I found it in Poshak Bazaar but there was no word regarding its cost. May be this is a very heavy piece to carry by bride on her marriage but ... anything for spectacular outlook on your big day. View th full look of this heavy bridal lengha.

A good marriage is at least 80 percent good luck in finding the right person at the right time. The rest is trust.

The world’s tallest man, 54 year old Bao Xishun(7 ft 9 in) has finally found a bride in his hometown after a global search. The bride Xia Shujian, a saleswoman is half his age and two-thirds his height.

The Beijing News reported:

After sending out marriage advertisements across the world and going through a long selection process, the efforts have finally paid off

Bao was confirmed last year by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s tallest person. He shot into limelight last year when he saved two dolphins by pulling dangerous plastic from their stomachs. He used his long arms when the surgical instruments failed to remove shards that the animals had swallowed at an aquarium in Fushun, north-east China.

In addition to herding livestock, he hires himself out for publicity stunts for a living.
