Soft Cerulean Wedding Inspiration in the Midwest
“Well hello, gorgeous” was a phrase top of mind as we let our eyes linger over these spine-tingling images of cerulean wedding inspiration that reminds us quite a bit of Europe. Believe it or not, this soft, romantic scene boasts from the Midwest. Blue + white plates, sugared pears and patterned lace are just a few of the delights that take the stage in this ode to beauty, and we’re sitting here wondering why we don’t dine lakeside everyday. So kick back and enjoy this fresh + airy scene with us, and toast with us to *almost* Friday!
These idyllic images come to us courtsey of Lake Geneva wedding photographer Kristina Lorraine. The moments she captures just might take your breath away.
Like a scene you might find in one of Europe’s famous art galleries, this waterside gathering designed by Simply Detailed Wedding stirs up a feeling of longing in our souls. Longing for this sophisticated manor setting to become the daily view.
We’ll go all in for an off-the-shouldered wedding dress all day, errday, so this lace embroidered gem from All About The Gown has us purely blissful.

The soft blue invites from Owl Post Calligraphy remind us of an Old World flame – edges burnt and words never forgotten.
And the cake tower masterpiece from Julie Michelle is a conversation starter in itself. Which is your favorite tier?
From the photographer, Kristina Lorraine Photography: I recently had a bride from California who decided to have her wedding in Wisconsin. When she told this news to a friend, they said “what, are you going to wear cowboy boots too?” Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but it always seems like the Midwest gets a rep for not having the most luxurious weddings.
This shoot was inspired by the rich history of Lake Geneva, WI, and one of the most well known estates on the lake, proving that there really are hidden gems in the Midwest.
With an intimate setting on the shores, and grounds of the Stone Manor, Kelli from Simply Detailed Wedding put together a beautiful tablescape donning vintage glassware, delft blue china, and hints of gold. The floral design of Frontier Flowers of Fontana made the table come to life with beautiful floral of neutrals and blue that tied in perfectly with Owl Post Calligraphy‘s invitation suite.
With delicate touches like Julie Michelle‘s handmade sugar flowers, to the grand opulence of the Stone Manor , this shoot certainly shows that the Midwest should not be overlooked.
