Music to my Ears
Music, of all kinds, has always been very very important to me. Classical, Indie Rock, 90’s pop (yeah Ace of Base!), you name it.
But, ever since my dad gave me an old Glenn Miller record in the 5th grade, I’ve had a love affair with Swing Era Jazz and 40’s and 50’s Standards – Think Rat Pack…or even Lawrence Welk. (I might be the only person under the age of 84 that likes Lawrence Welk)

To include this part of my life in the wedding, Jay and I are having a piano player come in for the cocktail hour and play all my favorites. Here’s the playlist so far:
…I’ve listed the best (or most popular artists) for iPod users…
Love You Madly – Ella Fitzgerald
Sway – Julie London
Fly Me to the Moon – Frank Sinatra
L-O-V-E – Nat King Cole
Is You Is or Is You Aint – Dinah Washington
All of Me – Billie Holiday
Take the A Train – Duke Ellington
In The Mood – Glenn Miller
Satin Doll – Frank Sinatra, Ella, or Duke Ellington – all good!
Moonlight Serenade – Glenn Miller
I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm – Rosemary Clooney
Embraceable You – Sarah Vaughn
If you have any other suggestions, let me know!
