Charleston Destination Wedding All About Hospitality and Heritage

Lauren + Hector were easily one of the sweetest, most caring, down to Earth, and FUN (like really fun) couples I’ve ever worked with. They instantly made me feel like family from the first time I met them.
That was the effect they had on everyone they met and interacted with. With Lauren being a teacher, and Hector owning his own restaurants, the pair understood what serving people + creating an inviting atmosphere was all about, which made all of their vendors and guests want to celebrate them even more!
L + H were incredibly trusting throughout the planning process and allowed me to take the reins so that they could enjoy their engagement. Getting to see their reactions on the wedding day was the most rewarding experience!
In terms of design + atmosphere, we wanted to lean into their service backgrounds, as well as the groom’s heritage. They were extremely passionate about their guests feeling comfortable and welcomed. Upon arrival at the ceremony, guests were greeted by a mariachi band local to the couple’s home of Charlotte, NC, and lots of vibrant + colorful florals!
Afterwards, guests were invited outside into the courtyard for a lively cocktail hour, before returning inside for the rest of the evening. At the reception, dinner + dancing commenced under the cafe lights.
They dug into their stunning, 4 tiered cake, had a tequila shot – or two 😉 – and ended the night with an epic sparkler sendoff before heading to the after party.
