Zanzibar, the Islamic island located in the Indian ocean is facing a major problem these days. The state which is experiencing an increasing number of broken marriages is also becoming a land of homosexuals. The problem has reached alarming proportions as more and more men are abandoning their wives on the pretext of going to find jobs on the nearby Tanzanian mainland. Leaving them to their fate’s mercy,the runaway husbands don’t even provide the basic care to their wives and kids.



This semi autonomous country with around 800,000 inhabitants also suffers from the problem of polygamy and also has cases of men having more than four wives.
